«Oldest ‹Older 1 – 200 of 210 Newer› Newest»@Alysha I thought your presentation was really cool, because it was about a subject that people normally don't know a lot about. I thought that it was great how you explain how each piece was created, and what the various terms were.
@alysha Very nice presentation! you're very creative and i can see you going far with that type of talent.
@Alysha Your presentation was so cute! I've never thought much of jewelry arts, but clearly it's a lot more work than I could ever imagine. I loved how your recording matched up with your slides and how much information there was in that five minutes!
@Alysha Good Presentation! Found it interesting to see what you have learned in jewlery arts because I have never taken that course before
@alysha i really enjoyed how your pictures went well with what your topic was, they gave a clear image about what you were talking about, this helped me understand it better. wish you would've presented live though!
@Alysha You make some really nice intricate pieces! Do you think that someday you could make it your job? or that you could move on to yet even bigger projects?
@Alysha Loved the presentation! You were very informative, and chose a great and rather interesting. You have a talent, those rings were gorgeous! Would you recommend that course to grade 9's coming to sturgeon next year? Overall wonderful presentation!
@alysha The pictures were very nice, in a very good resolution! The topic was very nice too because is something important for you and very insteresting, your work is amazing! Congrats!
@ Alysha very well thought out.
Nice job.
@meganP appreciated how you did your presentation live! also i had no idea draag racers go so fast! that is a really cool thing you do and keep up the good work
@meganp I liked how you talked to your pictures a lot, so it made it more personal because we as the viewers understood the story behind all of your pictures.
@megan i knew you were a drag racer but i didn't know you were so successful, that's pretty impressive, keep it up!
@Meagan You're whole childhood sounds amazing! I wish I was able to race like that. Hopefully, the second half of your journey is twice as good as the first half
@Megan I never knew you drag raced that is pretty sweet. You used your presentation well to teach people about yourself and drag racing
@MeganP I loved your presentation. You didn't even have to look at your paper a lot, which is understandable considering racing is something you're passionate about. I know nothing about racing, so i don't know what to ask! I'm amazed at how many races you've won. I knew it was a lot.. But I did not know exactly how much!
@ Megan P. well put clearly very passionate about racing. never stop.
@meganP Nice presentation! The topic was really interesting and exotic. You were very informative and the pictures were very nice! Good luck on your races!
@Megan
Wow drag racing that is so cool! You must be so proud of how much you've accomplished over your years of racing, and all of those opportunities that racing as given you must have you super excited! Is there a such thing as pro drag racing and if so do you think about becoming a drag racer in the pros? Amazing presentation!
@alysha it was cool to see the evolution of your skills from grade 9 to grade 12, i was wondering how long it takes you to make the little details on your pieces?
@Alysha
I liked your topic; I had heard of Jewellery Arts before, but had never really known much about it. I thought you did a great job of organizing all of the information in your script. I think you could have been a little more confident when you were recording. Overall I really enjoyed your presentation.
@Megan
I thought you were very calm and relaxed when you presented, and your presentation was very informative.
@megan really cool subject, i was wondering how those races where you end at the same time work, how do you decide who wins?
@BenS
Actually, I've been talking about that with my teacher and she says that she could probably find me a nice place to work at if I'm interested in the trade, so I may take up her offer!
@KaylaB
Honestly, I'd definitely recommend it. Sure it's not something for everyone, but it's an opportunity I find unique and it wouldn't hurt trying the course out.
@IanP
It depends on which piece it is. For small details such as flowers, I don't find them too challenging because I've made so many. Of course, it always varies with the piece because what may be very simple and easy on one project, can be very difficult and frustrating on another. To give a time frame though, I'd say about 1-4 hours?
@RyanJ
Funny you say that! It was actually extremely difficult to match the recording to the slides and do it all in one take. I think I recorded this about a million times before I finally got through all the slides without stumbling too much. It took me about 2 hours on the recording alone and I finished at 1:30am. So it wasn't so much as my confidence level, although I was still quite nervous, it was more of the fact that I was frustrated and tired.
@MeganP
That was a great presentation and props to you for speaking live! I loved the pictures you used to explain what you were talking about and the father-daughter bonding time you have with your dad is priceless! Quick question though, if the two drivers are to finish at the same time, how would you win a race?
@Micayla your presentation was amazing! I loved all of the statistics you gave and how you made a point of saying that you met some of the people who were part of that statistic. Your presentation was really inspiring!
@micayla sorry I missed most of your presentation! But I've gotten to hear about your trip before. I went to Washington in grade and I can't even imagine what it would be like going the next step and living in Africa for some time. Congrats!
@micayla
That was a great presentation, I like how it was actually about something important and how informative it was. I like how you talked about your experiences there, and used your own pictures. You had a great speaking voice and great eye contact!
@micayla Great presentation! The subject was amazing because is a topic that really matters and everyone should know about it! Loved it!
@micayla such a good presentation! Well done. It's so great that you are so passionate about changing our world!
@micayla that sounds like it would be the trip on a life time! Good job with the work you've done. You're presentation sounded like it's something you really love to do.
@bruna I really like hearing about your culture and how it is different than ares. I also really enjoyed the humour that you brought, it was awesome!
@Micayla A trip like the one you went on sounds like a once in a lifetime opportunity! Are you hoping to travel anywhere else in the world? If so, where?
@micayla I loved your presentation and how invested you are in social justice. I think you could definitely make a major impact if you really set your mind to something.
@bruna I'm glad your liking Canada! It's very neat that your had the opportunity to be an exchange student here! I wish I could have done something so neat.
@bruna
I loved your presentation. The things you talked about were very true to Canadians. You had a great speaking voice and seemed confident up there. Your presentation was very relatable.
@bruna so true about your presentation! I never really realized how different the rules around the world are. Canada is a great place glad you like it here.
@Bruna the topic you chose was very original and entertaining! I'm glad you're enjoying your time here in Canada and have made new friends along the way!
@Bruna I had no idea how long the flight was to get here, but I'm glad it was worth it and I'm glad you're having a good time! Your presentation was really good!
@bruna Your top 5 things you love about Canada is probably the same for most Canadians. I loved hearing about some of your culture as well. Super interesting!
@Bruna your presentation was just great! You make your life sound so interesting and the fact that you're here in Canada from Brazil, it is interesting. Good luck!
@mark you know so much about the western genre, it's crazy! Did you grow up watching films like this with your family? What's your favourite modern western?
@mark
I like how you did something you were really passionate about. And also how you talked some of your favourites. I like how you talked about why you liked them so much.
@mark I completely agree with you. The western movies are by far the best. Always interesting and the music is by far the best like you said! Great presentation.
@mark I like that you talked about something you are so passionate about
@Mark I like that you did your presentation on something you loved! Personally, I don't know anything about western films, so it was pretty cool to hear a presentation on that.
@mark I've really been meaning to see a western movie! That was interesting.
@mark Your presentation was very interesting! I didn't know anything about western films. Is this genre your favourite?
@mark I couldn't understand you very well, but I liked the pictures and your topic. I don't know much about western movies so was good to see you presenting about it.
@jenni
I like how you talked about we could all relate to because everyone has done a group project and knows what it's like and they can relate to you. I also liked how you did a voice over. It's great how you did the pros and cons of group projects and talked about how they have changed over our school life.
@jenni I agree with your love hate relationship because I aswell have the same issue with group projects. Loved your presentation.
@jenni I agree with your opinion on group projects! It's so true how frustrating it gets when you are the only person who wants to do well, therefore you carry to weight of the group. I really like how you voiced your option but then asked someone else their opinion.
@Jenni I have the same opinions on groups projects as you do. I like how your presentation related to everyone. Despite what you might think, it was really good!
@jenni I didn't know you were so passionate about group projects. How would you feel about working a group with me? I'm curious who your mystery partner was! I know I always work better alone since I have trouble focusing when others are around
@jenni I completely agree with your presentation. I love doing projects with friends because it's always kind of fun to do, as long as they do work. Sometimes you go with a fun friend who doesn't do work though and the worst really is having to make a new friend just for a project. Thanks for sharing
@jenni I liked your topic, everything that you said is true and I think everyone have already passed through situations like those that you told us about group projects, so was great because we could see ourselves in your presentation!
@Jenni I feel the same way about presenting. Getting up in front of people you don't know, or even do racks my nerves. When did you begin to not like presenting in front of people?
@meagan I really wish I was more interesting in hockey myself but I guess it's just not something for all people. Cool presentation and cool story!
@megan s. I really enjoyed your presentation. I could see that you are extremely passionate about hockey. And your pictures when you were younger are adorable!
@megan s.
I really liked your presentation. I like how passionate you are about hockey and it showed in your presentation. You had a great speaking voice. I like how you talked about how hockey has been helpful to you in life and why you love it so much.
@megans I liked that you shared about something you are really passionate about, because it made the presentation more interesting. It was awesome to hear about your personal experience with hockey, rather than just hockey itself.
@MeaganS Your presentation was so good and personal! I liked how you mentioned what the sport taught you, I was able to relate to that! Good Job, Meagan!
@Meagan I find it fascinating how much you love hockey. Even though I've known you for what seems to be forever, I didn't know how committed you were to the Habs. Do you think you'll still love Carey Price if he leaves the team?
@meaganS Nice presentation! Was good to hear about hockey and your hockey career, is impressive that you've been playing for 12 years! Was really good for me hearing you because I don't know much about hockey. Good luck on your career!
@meagan your obsession with hockey is intense! I think it's pretty awesome that you have something to be so passionate about! I've never understood how hockey players can move so fast on the ice. Hockey is one of the few sports that I don't mind watching on TV!
@Karli I've always wanted to go to New York, but the stereotypes made me kind of nervous as well. Your presentation was great!
@karli I like how you talked about something that happened rather recently because it seemed fresh, and interesting. I'm glad New York exceeded your expectations!
@megansawyer I love how passionate you are about the Habs! Your presentation was well done and I admire how well you speak Infront of a class
@karli great moral of the story. Loved your presentation. I hear newyork is just wonderful. Hope to go there someday. Would you ever want to live there?
@Karli I think if I was going to New York, I would be a little worried as well about the bad steriotypes they have there. What was your favourite part of your trip?
@karli I really liked your presentation because I really live travelling to iconic and memorable places in the world. I wish I had gotten the same opportunity to visit New York as you did!
@karli I apologize for laughing at your presentation! The topic was good and raised an interesting point. I liked that your presentation had a moral to it! One day I hope I'll also go to New York with your non-judgmental ideals
@karli I like your overall topic. I think a lot of people have the same general thought about New York and it's great that you found all of your stereotypes to be wrong.
@karli I love that you chose talking about New York City! I really want to go there and I'm kinda like you, I believe in everything that people say about NYC, so it was good to hear true comments about there from you! What was your favorite thing about there? And your favorite place?
@Megan L. What instrument do you play? It's amazing how important music is in communities in other parts of the world. Somehow it brings everyone together even when they're worlds apart!
@megan your presentation was very meaningful which I loved! I enjoyed all of your pictures because they fit so well with what you were saying. Good job :)
@megan L it sounds like you really enjoyed yourself on your trip. Cuba sounds like it's just filled with nonstop fun and energy. Awesome presentation!
@meganL
I loved your presentation, I like how you talked about not just your trip but how it had a bigger purpose to show with each other and a society.
@meganL I really liked your presentation... I might be slightly biased because I went to Cuba with you, but I thought it was awesome how you compared your experiences in Canada to those in Cuba, because it brings perspective to people trying to understand other cultures.
@megan I really liked your presentation because travelling and having amazing experiences with amazing people is something I want to do in life. I wanted to go in the Cuba trip so bad when I was in band but unfortunately I have a problem with the teaches and couldn't bear it any longer.
@MeganL Your presentation was awesome! I've heard a lot of other people talk about their time in Cuba, but you never told me about yours! It sounds like you had a phenomenal time! What was your absolute favourite part of the trip?
@Micayla
Your presentation was very well organized and well written, and you could tell that you had practiced a lot. It was well timed; very often you would start speaking about something exactly as the appropriate image appeared.
@Bruna
I really liked hearing what you thought of Canada, and glad to hear that you've been enjoying your time here! I would have liked to hear more about Brazil.
@Mark
Your topic was very original. You spoke a little quietly, but we understood you fine anyway. I think it would have been good to look up from your paper a little more for eye contact. Overall, I enjoyed your presentation.
@Jenni
I agree that it's frustrating to have a partner that doesn't do work. I know which of my friends usually do work when we do a group project, so luckily I haven't experienced that in a while. Good job.
@Megan S.
I thought you did a good job of suppressing any nerves you might have had. You were calm as you presented. It might have been good to try to teach us something most people don't know about hockey.
@Karli
I've never been to New York, but may travel there some day, so it was nice to hear that the people were friendly. Thanks for your presentation.
@Megan L.
Great job on your presentation. You were calm and didn't seem to be stressing about the time restrictions. I enjoyed looking back on the Cuba trip, so thank you!
@micayla That topic was a lot more important and inspiring than most we've heard. It's really cool that you had that experience and good for you to take advantage of it
@bruna that was a really entertaining presentation. We sometimes laugh at all these stereotypes but it was funny to hear someone say some other things about canadians that we might not have thought of before
@mark oh hai mark. Your presentation flowed really well. You didn't have to pause or speed up and the pictures worked well with the subject matter. Also, I wouldn't say that the westerns are dead. Django Unchained did very well in the box office and won a few oscars
@jenni I like that you chose a topic that everyone listening can relate to, we've alll had good and bad group work experiences
@MeganS That is really inspiring that you stalked Carey Price. That is real passion and that gained a lot of respect from me (carey's my favorite goalie)
@Karli I was surprised to hear you say that all these stereotypes that I used to believe are wrong
@MeganL that's the first time I've heard someone quote Shakira in a speech about courage
@ian
I liked how you taught us something in your presentation, and how you made it funny with the pictures you used in your slides!
@ian Learning a bit about fancy sports was interesting, I had no idea you could win so much, also your choice in pictures were 👌
@ian I liked that you had a stop give list, it kept things organized in your presentation. Why do you personally like fantasy leagues?
@Ian I liked how you really involved the audience and you weren't just reading off your paper! Good job!
@Ian
Nice presentation. I thought the pictures you chose were quite cute and they went well with what you were talking about.
@meganL Nice presentation! Was good to hear about many parts of your trip, I've never wanted to visit Cuba but I start thinking about it here in Canada because a lot of people like going there and your presentation made me think more about it! Thanks!
@ian Your presentation was very insteresting because you were interacting with the class during it. The pictures that you chose were very funny and combined a lot with what you were saying! Congrats!
@ryan I liked your topic and how you balanced facts with personal experince.
@ryan solid presentation, my family speaks Spanish and I don't so I've been thinking about learning it;and now I have resources to help me out.
@ryan
I like how much information was in your presentation. And how well you handled yourself when the picture didn't show up.
@Ryan I really liked how your presentation was on something you're passionate about. Not everyone knows that you speak Spanish so I think it was also cool for everyone to hear that. Your presentation was really good, Ryan!
@Ryan Language learning is such a useful and unique hobby! I have always wanted to be fluent in another language but I have never had the motivation to practice
@Ryan
That was a pretty cool topic you chose! I find that it's difficult learning a language, I mean, I don't even know Korean and that's all my parents speak with only a tiny bit of English. Did you not understand any Spanish at all before you started learning? I'm at least able to understand quite a bit of Korean.
@ryan Your presentation was very informative. You chose a good topic and gave us good and much information about it. I know many things about languages because I needed to learn a new one to came to Canada, but you showed things I didn't knew, so thanks!
@kira I like how you talked directly to your photos, it made it more meaningful then just having them background.
@kira
I really liked how you showed us your trip. The pictures were interesting, and I liked how much you talked about them so we knew what we were looking at. Would you ever go back again?
@Kira
That seems like such an emotional experience! I can't imagine what it would've been like for you to walk through that concentration camp learning about everything. Great presentation.
@Kira I almost don't know what to say about your presentation, and it's a good thing. Your trip just looked like is was really heart-clenching and it looked like an amazing experience. I like that you described all the pictures and told us what they were all about. Good job, Kira!
@kira Your photos were amazing! Was good to see original pictures from these places and from things that had meaning in World War II. I love learning about this part of the world history.
@Ian
I appreciated all of the information in your presentation, but I didn't quite understand the concept of Fantasy Sports. It would have been nice if you had explained it a little more. In any case, great job.
@Kira
I appreciated seeing pictures of places that I've heard about for a while like Auschwitz and Birkenau. I had wanted to go on that trip originally but never really followed through on that. It seems like it was an amazing time!
@Alysha
I could understand, but only a very small portion of what was being said. The fact that I'm in French immersion helped me a little to understand, since the languages are similar. I knew a few words for little things around the house because my mom would use them with me when I was little, but for the longest time I didn't even know that it was Spanish, and I could never have followed a conversation. So, in short, yes, a little.
@Megan L, Bruna, Karli, Micayla
Thanks, guys!
@Maslen
It really is! I know that motivation can be really hard to come by sometimes. That's another reason why so many people fail to learn a language.
@Xavier
Thank you! You definitely should! It really did make a huge difference for me to be able to speak Spanish with my family. Learning a heritage language is easier too because it's much easier to practice and motivate yourself to learn. Good luck!
@maslen
I loved your presentation. You had a great speaking voice and I loved the pictures you used
@maslen I really enjoyed hearing about your personal experience with camp. I think that everyone has a different experience and view on things and it's nice to hear other peoples perspective
@Maslen
I love camp and I could tell that you really do as well. You have a lot of passion for this camp you went to and I think it's crazy how far you canoed! The pictures were adorable as well.
@maslen I loved your presentation! It was well written and I could tell that you really love camp. It makes me wish I would go to camp! Good job Maslen!
@maslen I loved your presentation! I know how much pioneer camp means to you and I think it's great to share that with other people. I hope all works out for you his summer!
Maslen : that camp sounds like a really great place. Great presentation I've always wanted to go to camp.
@Maslen
I found your presentation very interesting and awesome! It definitely brought back memories of when I used to go to camp and various outings similar to that. The pictures were also awesome!
@maslen You chose a very interesting topic and your pictures were amazing! I always wanted to camp but I never had chance so was good to hear you talking about!
@maslen
Your presentation was very we'll put together and I think you spoke at ease. You chose interesting topic and great pictures to go along with it.
@john
I really liked your presentation and how you talked about more then just snow boarding, but talked about the mountains you visited and different facts about them. I also liked how you didn't just say you liked snowboarding but also the history behind it
@John
I found your presentation very informative, and the pictures were really cool.
One tip for presenting would just to be to practice in front of a mirror before you do it publicly. But other than that, good show!
@John
You had a nice presentation. I could tell that you have passion for this topic and know quite a bit about it. Seeing all these different types of snowboards are pretty cool. I tried snowboarding once, fell right on my butt and I never seemed to really learn how to stay upright. I guess that's a balance thing though.
@maslen The length of that canoe trip you went on was very impressive. I'm sure that it would be different, transitioning from city to wilderness and back
@john I liked how you chose a topic that people may not be super farmliar with. I thought it was nice that you explained about your experience wth snowboarding as well as the history, and how technically it works.
@john that was a very interesting presentation I had little to no knowledge about snowboarding. Great presentation.
@John I don't know anything about snowboarding, so it was interesting to hear about it! Good job on your presentation, John!
@John I really enojyed the pictures in your presentation, and your voice was also a good tempo, not too fast, not too slow. I've never snowboarded, but I liked learning more about it, and maybe I'll try it one day this spring
@john
Sounds like a fun trip over all! I wanna learn how to snowboard!
@roan
I like how you were very truthful in your presentation and didn't sugar coat things. Your presentation was really good! I liked how there was a bigger message to your presentation
@John I've been skiiing but I've never been snowboarding before. What's the worst wipeout you've ever experienced?
@Roan
I'm not entirely sure I knew what exactly your topic was about, but I found it very amusing. You found a topic that you could talk about that all of us could relate to and you spoke well. You sounded both nervous and confident. It was a fun presentation and I really enjoyed it.
@Roan
That was a great presentation and it really had a great message about looking on the positive side of things. Well done!
@roan that was a very unique presentation. I really enjoyed the quote you used.
@roan you were very engaging in your presentation, and you were interacting and looking at the audience, as opposed to reading off your paper, which was good
Camp is my home away from home! It was quite a trip and definitely difficult at many points but it felt great to accomplish something so unique!
@roan
Your presentation was very interesting even though half the class is usually on their phones you made everyone pay attention because you spoke at ease and knew what you were talking about. You made the audience pay attention to your presentation and you actually made it interesting which I think is very important. Not everyone can get up infront of the class and make a presentation bearable to sit through. I thought you did a really good job!!!
@john I've skied, but never snowboarded. The way you talked about snowboarding kind of sold it to me, and maybe the next time im going to the mountains I'll try snowboarding instead
@maslen I do planning doing more travelling. I believe that travelling is the ultimate way to understand other peoples lives, and by doing that you are allowing yourself to be a better global citizen. Next January I'm hoping to go to bible school in Las Vegas to look into the sex trade, and modern day slavery. With that I will also being travelling to India, Nepal, and Thailand to look more into human trafficking in south east Asia. I can't wait to see what that experience has I store for me.
Camp but is great but sometimes it requires a bit of personal sacrifice, you really have to love something to dedicate two entire months of your life to it
@Roan I found your presentation really interesting and I really enjoyed it. It was different than the other ignite presentations. I agree with your opening statement about ignite presentations, lol. But, yours was funny, yet inspirational at the same time. Good job!
@Roan I think your presentation related to everyone, which was awesome. Initially, no one knew what to talk about for their project, and you just put that to words. Your presentation was entertaining, good job!
@Maslen
Your presentation was well written. I loved the pictures in your presentation that you took yourself. It's also cool to know that you're Christian; I had no idea. Great job!
@John
I appreciated the interesting facts about snowboarding and Whistler in your presentation, as well as your recommendation to avoid the moguls as a snowboarder. Your trip looked like a lot of fun!
@Roan
I thought the topic you chose was very different and that it set you apart as a presenter. I can definitely relate to the stress you felt.
@Maslen I really like how you decided to talk about something you enjoy and your experience with it.
@John Found it interesting because I don't snowboard and I didn'y really know anything about it.
@Roan I enjoyed your ignite presentation because you talked about a bad experience you had and turned it into a presentation to talk about.
@roan I love how you made your presentation funny. I think you did a really good job presenting and I enjoyed listening!
Me too! I'm hoping I'l l find a job that's flexible and allows me some time off to visit camp so I can reunite with all of my camp friends!
Its a pretty unique experience, you really have to enjoy being outdoors and cut off from technology in order to get through a week or two on an island.
@Maslen I really liked your presentation! I've been to Pioneer camp twice, and both times I loved it. Your presentation brought back memories of those times. I also really enjoyed learning more things about your experience there, and it makes me want to go back.
So many embarrassing camp pictures! Its always a good time when you're among friends!
@Micayla truly inspiration presentation, I loved the topic you chose and how you chose to present it, I really enjoyed the metaphor you used for people being sparks and enough sparks start a fire, and that fire can drive Change in the world.
@Bruna I'm glad you're enjoying Canada, I always hear for my friends who came here from another country that winter ere was the coldest thing they ever expirianced, It is cold for me even though I lived here all my life so I couldn't imagine how bad it would be if you came from somewhere hot like Brazil into these harsh winters !
@Mark cool presentation, I really appreciate when someone knows what they're talking about when trying to teach to others an I could tell you do know what you're talkin about when it comes to westerns
@Jenni great presentation bud, were did you get the idea from ? I like how you used a personal example because it made it easier to understand what you were talking about
@Ian, cool prestation, I am a fan of fantasy sports, at least fantasy basketball haha, I could tell you had a lot of expiriance but it seemed there were some inside jokes I didn't quite understand like the face full of pizza, care to elaborate ?
@Ryan liked your topic because it was very educational, I have always wanted to learn another language and this was very informative
@Kira wow, some scary images in that presentation, was there a feeling you had around these places on the trip? Like some people get a sort eerie feeling around bad historical sites like this or a mental hospital or something ?
@john cool presentation, I have never snowboarderd but always wanted to, if I wanted to rent some equipment and try it out where should I go ?
Camping is so much fun but it isn't for everyone! You really have to keep an open mind and find unique ways to enjoy yourself!
Thank you! I tried to choose pictures that were interesting but not too embarrassing.
I like fantasy leagues because I'm a huge sports fan, and playing fantasy sports is as close as I can get to running a pro team, which would be a dream job of mine
@Maslen Wonderful presentation, the photos you chose were beautiful and captured your speech greatly. Your love of Pioneer camp showed through the presentation as well.
Commenting on the comments:
Thanks for the positive comments on my ignite presentation. I'm glad it you found it interesting.
I hope you guys can all go to New York one day because it's really awesome.
@jasmine, @bruna
I think it would be cool to live there for a little bit...but only if I had crazy amounts of money while I was there.
@kira
My favorite part of the trip was walking around in Central Park. It's so pretty!
I totally agree, its beneficial to listen to others' opinions in order to keep an open mind
@John Snowboarding is a great sport! I've always wanted to learn how to snowboard! YOur presentation was great and very informative!
Thank you Karli! I wish I had slowed down a little bit since my presentation was a bit too short!
@meganL
The flight is so long and I had to take 3 planes to get here. Is way to exhausting but it all worth in the end.
@karli
Is good to know that I was sounding confident because I was very nervous! Thanks!
Thanks everyone for the comments and thanks for making Canada this awesome place!
@Roan your family has a swear jar? That's awesome! What happens to all the money that you collect? Your topic was really different and very honest. Great job!
@Roan Loved your presentation! It was very true and inspiring! That quote is one of my favorites, though it can be rather hard to follow some days.Overall awesome ignite.
Yes, theres pro racing. REALLY fast speeds of 350 mph, and faster, and it shows on espn. You have to be really good and you'd need to get sponsered by big name companies. It's always been a dream of mine, however it may be far fetched, but I'm just going to keep trying my best and see what happens!
thanks! glad you enjoyed it, i do know i sounded nervous, i was haha!
thank you! glad you found it entertaining, i thought i might as well voice my opinion on them cause i thought thats what theyre all about!
glad you liked it, and yeah i figured i might as well just put my thoughts to words. i wrote the whole thing in like 20 minutes because it just blew up in my head right when i came up with the idea, i needed to write it down before i forgot it so i had no time to sugar coat it haha
@Ian well thank you, I think! It was kind of a time filler.
It's called Bracket racing, or Handicap racing. Basically its so the faster car doesn't have the advantage of winning. You write a time on the side of your car saying how many seconds you think it will take you to get down the track. The lights for the slower car will go off first, then then the lights for the faster car will go off, set to go off with the difference between the times of the two cars. Both cars should make it to the finish line at the same time. How you win is based on a combination of who has the better reaction time at the lights, and who is closer to the number of seconds you think you will run. the closer you are to both of these, the better chance you have at winning, and if you run faster than the seconds you enter, you are disqualified.
thank you i tried to use a differant kind of topic, im glad you could relate to it!

thanks haha i heard that quote for the first time in the movie "stuart little". i am glad you liked it !
@Maslen I play the flute and the alto saxophone. Thank you for your comment, I definitely agree with you!
@Jenni, thank you so much! I hope I wasn't too awkward.
Thank you, Jasmine! It was a really great experience.
Thanks Kira! My most favourite part of the trip was how close everyone got. We experienced so much together and when we came back it was like we were a completely different group of people.
Thank you so much, Karli! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Thank you, Micayla. I'm glad you understood what I was trying to get across, my presentation was not the easiest to follow!
Thank you Ben, it was a trip I'm glad I didn't pass up. I completely understand where you're coming from in terms of problems in the program. That class is definitely not everyone's cup of tea, and on certain days, it's not mine either.
@ben
I really liked your presentation, and how you talked about something that many people can relate to, or could find useful. You seemed confident and had a great speaking voice
@ben great job! I wish I didn't have stage freight, but I feel like that is something I will always have.
@Ben I liked how you presented with cue cards and not the big paper. You spoke at ease. Good presentation over all.
@ben it's really hard to imagine you with stage fright! I'm sure you still get nervous before a performance. Do you perform well under pressure?
@Ben way to go, bud! I liked how calm you were, although I dot really know if you were actually freaking out or not. I like that your presentation related to everyone and not just people who step on stage. Good job, Ben!
@Jasmine
I thought that your presentation was awesome! I love my dog and can definitely tell you love yours! It's hard not to, but I thought it was awesome that you shared that with us!
Awesome presentation!
@jasmine
Your dog is so cute! I really liked your presentation.
@Jasmine your presentation was so cute. Your dog is absolutely adorable!
@ben that was a great presentation. I really enjoyed how much energy you had!
@jasmine I love knowing I'm not the only one obsessed with their own dogs! Very cute presentation. I honestly think I would cry if my dog chewed over 20 pairs of shoes, that's insane! Good job
@jasmine I absolutely love dogs and I commend you and your family for adopting a rescue animal. I've heard that a dog with one blue eye is deaf in that ear, is that the case for spencer or is it just a myth?
Thanks! Yeah I tried to find something I know about, and thought people would appreciate!
Megan Pelissier
@Ben you've always been really good at public speaking, must be our techniques. Your ending statement was also really good and powerful, left it's mark. good job, bro
@Veronica
Awesome topic! I love music and concerts! I think it's awesome that you're able to go and talk to the groups after, I would absolutely love to do that! Good presentation!!!
@veronica
I really liked your presentation, and how all the pictures you used were your own or your friends. They're really good
Haha just clear your head and think happy thoughts :P
@veronica such a good presentation. You're so lucky to be going to warp! Sounds like it will be amazing, definatley something I plan on doing in the future.
@Veronica I really liked all of your slides! I don't really ever go to concerts, but I like that you do more than just go to listen. Your blog sounds really cool as well!
@Jasmine I loved your presentation. dogs are my absolute favourite animal! spencer seems really cute. my dogs are annoying too, so I know how you feel lol
Megan Pelissier
@veronica I love concerts too! Unfortunately I can't afford to spend all my money on concert tickets so I try to go to the occasional one. Good job on your presentation!
Thanks! I find that cards help to break up the presentation and will set a nice pace
@ Veronica I didn't realize you had a blog with so many followers! that's awesome, I love concerts too, but I don't go to many. good luck with your blog!
Megan Pelissier
@veronica I think it's really awesome that you go to so many concerts and have actually created a popular blog about them! I love music but I have only ever been to one concert. I missed the opportunity to see one of my favourite bands rhcp live in 2011 and I have regret it ever since.
@Ben
I appreciated the fact that you were very calm throughout your presentation, it made it clear that your methods for getting over stage fright really work.
@Jasmine
I really enjoyed your presentation. My family has a dog too, so I can relate to the attachment that you feel to yours in spite of his quirks.
@Veronica
I usually don't get the opportunity to see the bands and artists that I like live, but I do love to go to see live music when I can. I appreciated that your topic was very unique. I can't say that I know other people who go to concerts as a hobby.
