The first video wins. I really don't like bully's and they shouldn't take out their frustration out on those who can't defend themselves. Humor is sometimes a way to lighten the mood but not for all subjects, like for example you can't be funny when ur friend or parent tell you they are gay or dying.

I like the first video better I think it has an extremely good point on bullying. I like that they'd ere able to make some valid points about bullying with humour. I personally don't think that humour is an appropriate way to talk about serious issues because I feel like with kids mostly it shows them that it's not serious and it's funny. I think when they try to make humour out of a serious issue. So I think that if we want people to realize that these issues are serious with kids especially, we have to talk to them about it in a serious way to make them realize that it's serious

The second one wins because it was more amusing, I think that humour is a great way to lighten the mood on certain topics because it makes everything happier for the viewer and Is all in all a better experience

I think the second video was better, I thought it was funnier than the first one. I don't understand why people think gay marriage changes everyone's lives. So what if two men or women wanna share a happy life together why should that bother you or anyone else? I think humour to an extent is appropriate on a heavy topic, because you don't want people to think you're actually being serious when you're making fun of something serious.

I liked the first video more because I liked the message behind it and he second video was a little confusing at times. I liked that the first video opposed bullying and tried to get people to stop bullying others. I don't think that humor is an appropriate way to lighten the tone of heavy topics just because people are easily offended these days. I think the humor in the first video was used appropriately because it wasn't meant to make fun of anyone, where as people could be offended from the second.

I liked the second video better. I think it showed how stupid and disrespectful people can be when it comes to topics like this. It shows how unfair people act.
I think can humour can be used. I think it makes certain ppoints more noticeable and people can maybe realize how they act. I think some humour crosses the line so we do have to careful with what we say.

I think the first video wins because it gives out a better message, bullying shouldn't be an option it's just terrible. I think humour is an awesome way to lighten the mood because it's not fun to see people sad, u want to see people happy!

I think the second video wins because the the first video wasn't funny at all. Like both of them had good messages and are true but I just think the second video was way better an funnier.

I think humor is a good way to lighten the mood on a heavy topic. I think people sometimes get weirded out and feel awkward talking about heavy situations and that can lead to them dismissing the topic completely. Humor is a good way to lighten the mood and not always be so serious.

The second video was my favourite of the two. I liked that it went to extreme lengths to show how ridiculous our society can be when it comes to controversial topics. We think the whole world is going to be ruined by equality and that is completely wrong. Our society needs change and it's not going to happen when were are so closed minded about everything. I think that humour can be appropriate in some ways like seen in these two videos but it can go overboard, especially when I bias opinion is involved. When using humour to lighten the tone of a heavy topic it is important to keep in mind that people may be easily offended and you must be very careful what you say. Such as comedian roasts that can get way out of hand on someone's religion, race or gender.

I didn't particularly like either videos because I didn't find them funny and I didn't really get the point they were trying to make... I don't think that humour is the most appropriate way to lighten the mood of a heavy subject, although sometimes it can work. It really depends in the subject or people your speaking towards. I think you need to evaluate the situation before you start to try and be funny because it could end up making the situation worse and possibly offending someone.

I enjoyed the second one more. It was more of a story and I found that the first one was just too much. I couldn't keep focused on the topic because there were so many things going on in the first film.
I believe humour is appropriate to be used on a heavy topic. You can use humour in different ways while addressing the topic and make it less direct. Humour can be overused while talking about a heavy topic and can make the topic less serious.

I really enjoyed the second video. I think the sarcasm was very clear, and was super funny. It's a controversial subject and it projects how silly it is to oppose basic rights just because it makes you uncomfortable.

I think using humour is a good way to lighten the tone on a heavy subject. I think it shows the topic in a new light that might change your perspective. Bullying is obviously negative, but the humour in the first video shows how you can protect people from getting bullied.

I liked the first video. I didn't get the second video at all. The first one to me had a point to come across and showed valid information. It also was addressing the issue and said that needed to be said right away. Sure this video was humorous because of the way the guy acted and rein acted different scenarios but even though it was humorous it was still informative. I feel like using humour to discuss controversial subjects can be a good thing and a bad thing. The second video I didn't like because I didn't find it funny and I was actually kind of confused whereas the first one was humorous but still had valid points being discussed.

I'm not really sure about either videos though I think if I had to choose one I liked the best, it would have to be the second one, A Parody. I liked the fact that it shows how ridiculous it is that people care so much about what other people do with their lives as if it affects their own.
I think humour is appropriate to use on heavy topics because it lightens the mood, though it depends on the topic, and the context that you choose to use the aspect of humour. Also you have to know how to respectfully use it because most heavy topics are quite controversial and you wouldn't want to end up offending people when all you wanted to do was get your point across.

I think the first video wins. I liked the way it addressed the topic in a way that made it easier to tell that even though he made a few jokes, he was still completely serious about the topic. I didn't like the way the second video seemed so serious, and it wasn't funny to me.
I think humor is an appropriate way to lighten the tone of a heavy subject, as long at it is used properly. Some humor can be taken too far, to the point where it's not longer funny and just offensive. Sometimes it's also hard to tell what's a joke and what's not. If used properly though, I think that humor is a very effective way to lighten the tone of a subject.

I think the first video is the winer because it's not cool to pick on people because we all the same. Humour is ok if is fun but is not fun you hurt some one.

I think the second video won because it was such a funny take on gay marriage and why it isn't legal yet. I think humour is a good way to get your point across, because that is how some people understand things through rumour .

I missed both the videos but from what I was told the first one wasn't as funny as the second one so the second one wins because it was more humorous and being as simple minded as me something funny usually wins.

I think humor is one of the more effective ways to definitely lighten the mood on a topic but not too much humor because it would just distract people from the real point your trying to get across.

I think the second video wins. It wins because It was a very interesting video and an interesting way to deal with gay marriage and the straight parents. They put the commercial in a weird context. It wasn't what I was expecting.

I don't think humour is an appropriate way to lighten the tone on a heavy topic. When you make a video like this it is pretty funny but to others it may not be as funny. They may take offence to those kind of videos and that is why I don't think you should use humour for heavy topics. It's not very appropriate.

I liked the first video better, it was a good way of looking at bullying and really got the message across.
To me, I feel that using humor can and can't be a good way to deal with serious issues. In some cases, it is great because it helps to find common ground between two people. On the other hand, some things should be taken seriously and not meant to be kidded. I honestly believe it all depends on the situation.

I like the first video more. It made more sense to me and actually made some valid point about bullying. But I do not think that serious topics should be talked about with humor. These topics are serious for a reason and I feel like these videos almost made them into a joke.

I think the first video won because it was funnier and made the subject not as serious as it really is. I think humor is a great way to lighten up a serious topic. People can use humor to lighten the mood

I liked the second video better. I liked how the humour was used to show how ridiculous it is to be against something like gay marriage that doesn`t affect lots of people on a day to day basis.

I think that humour is an appropriate way to lighten the mood on heavy topics, just so long as the humour doesnt discredit the topic itself. The second video was a prime example as it makes comedy out of an exaggeration of how people act. This makes it funny but also helps prove a point.
