I liked the video "Awe" the best. I think it was very inspiring. I agree that people should break their routine and experience life and the world in new and different ways. Whether you believe in a God who made this world or not I think everyone can agree that the world is not here just for us to get up, get ready, go to work, go to bed everyday, there's more to it then that. I think it is important for people to get out of their comfort zone and do and learn new things.

I enjoyed the first video, Awe, better because I liked the way it was put together as a whole. However, I thought the second video, The Time You Have Left, was more inspiring. It made you think about what you are doing with your life and how can you make it better. We're given a limited amount of days to live and we should live them to the fullest, so I would say that was my "aha" moment while watching the videos.

I liked "The Time You Have Left" video more. I think it was neat the way they used to jelly beans to get their point across, it gave a visual aid so it was easier to picture what they were saying. It also really helped show how we are living our days and how all the little things add up.
The "aha" moment I had while watching this was I realized that we spend more time than we think doing the little things, like doing bathroom activities and cooking food. All the small things we do multiple times a day really start to add up. It made me realize that we need to live our lives to the fullest more because we don't have as much time to do that as we think we do, because time is ticking faster than we are aware of.

I liked both videos equally; "awe" talks about how we should spend our lives in awe, enjoying every moment whereas "the time you have left" reminded me that we truly have a limited life and we need to do things we love.

I think that most people forget that our lives are a time bomb - ready to go off and end at any moment. We get into the daily routine of our lives that we feel unsatisfied, unfulfilled. Wake up, go to school, do homework, go to work, get home, sleep, repeat. We get so accustomed to this routine that we don't even enjoy it anymore; we no longer value seeing our friends at school everyday or making customers smile at work. Routine makes us bored, but we're too afraid to break out of it. Everyone needs to spend their life in awe, because after all.. How much time do we really have left? Do you want to spend that small amount of time doing something that doesn't even make you happy?

Both videos made me realize that I need to do more things that make me happy.

Between the two videos, I liked the "Time You Have Left" video better. I found it easier to watch and follow. The message of this video was clear and gave a good visual.

While watching the "Time You Have Left" I had many "aha" moments. One being, I didn't realize how much time was invested into certain daily activities and it was really cool to see that. It was like a picture of time, and it really made you think about what you were going to do with your time. It's shocking once you take away all the little things in your life how little time you really have left.

Unknown said...

I enjoyed the Time You Have Left video more than Awe. Awe was a very inspirational video, but it moved very quick and I didn't grasp everything he was saying. Im sure if I had watched it while I wasn't still half asleep, I would have understood it better. The Time You Have Left video had a great visual representation which was clear to understand and got its point across very well.

An "AHA" moment I had was the ending of The Time You Have Left, when they showed us how much time we have for extra things in our life. Its crazy to see how much time we take up in our life working and commuting. It's a great representation of how we need to live our lives to the fullest, since we may not have a lot of time to do so.

Unknown said...

I think the jelly bean video won this for me. It made me think a lot harder about life and how much time we spend wasting it on worrying and not doing things we love. It put life into perpesctive for me and when they asked the question of what do you think you would do if you only had one day left, I honeslty have no idea. There is so much I want to do in my life that I should do it sooner than later so I don't "run out of time" or before it's too late.
An AHA moment I had was when they told us about how much time we spend sleeping. I think about sleeping sometimes and its weird to me. Like we spend 8 hours a day sleeping and it seems to go by so fast but when you are awake you can accomplish so much.

Unknown said...

In my mind "The Time You Have Left" wins. This short clip really put into perspective your life, how long you do things that you don't really want to do. (like work and commuting). It show that when you have the chance to do something fun, possibly out of your comfort zone you should do it, you don't have time to wait contemplating on whether you should do it or not you should just do it. I had a aha moment during The Time We Have left when they questioned what would you do if you only had one day left. That makes me question, am I really living my life to the fullest. I work 5 days a week, doing something I like but not love. I should be taking some days and doing something I love, but work and school take up all the time I have.

I like "The Time You Have Left". It was just really deep and focus more on how we basically let everyday pass us without knowing what could happen. We need to spend our lives well, focus on the things that matters such as family and career but most importantly always have time for yourself. "Aha moment- when he was talking about the jelly beans, I just though it was a funny thing to use.

Unknown said...

I think the winer is the jellybean video because it make more sense how it tells you how much time you have left

Unknown said...

I thought the very first video was the most inspiring because it shows you in material objects how many days the average person lives. When i was watching "The time you have left" i was really amazed and had an "AHA " moment, when i seen how many days you have for fun and all that other stuff, compared to how many days you spend sleeping, eating, and showering ect..

Unknown said...

I thought the first video was so fascinating and cool, but the video about the time we have left really made me think, and that's why I thought it was the better one. It made me realize how short life is. I mean I already knew that life was short to begin with, but he made me realize just how short. When he spread out all the jelly beans, it looked like a lot, but when he started taking little by little away, it's not a lot. I guess this video made me realize that we shouldn't take life for granted, and that we should take risks, risks in love, risks in sports, just risks in life, and that we should do what we love, because we don't live forever.

I liked the first video more because I found it more stimulating. I thought the imagry and clips caught my attention more. the message the guy had in the first video was kind of inspiring in itself but the 2nd video I found was just putting how much time you have on this planet in perspective. But watching both videos I did find myself inspired.

An AHA moment I had while watching these videos was the realization that most people probably arn't scared of dying, as much as they are of wasting the time that they do have while their alive. Nobody wants to wake up when they're 80 years old and realize they've never done any of things that they've dreamed of doing

Unknown said...

I liked "The Time You Have Left" video better out of the two. It was just a very simple concept, and it makes you think if you do enough of the "good stuff" in life. An "AHA" moment I had while watching this video was connected to yesterdays video. With the days or jellybeans we have left, how many have we already wasted obsessed with technology? I feel like I am constantly worried about whats going on in social media that I forget to take time and look around me. I notice that even with friends and family, I am constantly texting or checking twitter that I'm not fully there. If I have a limited amount of days to do the simple things for myself, I want to be spending them doing something more important then checking my cell phone for the latest gossip.
I like the idea that we have a "responsibility to awe" for a number of reasons. One, I think we sometimes forget about the world around us and how wonderful and beautiful it can be, it was made for a reason, so we should step back and take in what it has to offer. Second, I think taking time to be in awe of something, slows us down and allows us to enjoy the moments we've been given. I want to challenge myself to have a "responsibility to awe" in one thing everyday and I think others should as well.

The video that wins to me would be the Aha video because it makes you kind of take a step back and appreciate all the little things that you do while you have your free time and how much of your life is spent doing basic things that most people do. I thought it was more eye-opening than the Awe video even though that was good as well. Also, the Aha video wins to me because of the visual representations of everything we do with the number of jellybeans, rather than just telling us, literally giving us a picture of what time is being spent throughout our lives.

The Aha moment I had while watching the videos would be the amount of time spent doing common, day to day things and how much time we really have to do what we want and to define ourselves. Sure we each do our usual things sort of uniquely like sleeping, driving and such, but we all still do it relatively the same. It’s the little times we have where we can do whatever we want that show who we are and we don’t have as much time as we think we do to show that. It’s not exactly a video that makes you sad but more determined to use your time to your advantage and that’s what I discovered while watching it.

I think that the jelly bean video won because it made me want to stop everything i was doing and go tell everyone I love them. It made me realize whats important in life and that every now and then you should stop and smell the roses and if you dont, you may spend the rest of your life regreting the choices youve made and the moments you didnt take the time to soak in. This video changed my perspective on how i view every day and every moment and what im gonna do with those moments.

I think when the video says we have a "Responsibility to Awe" it makes sense. The world is very fascinating and people get so caught up in their lives that they don't take the time to stop and realize just how big it is. We should wonder about it more.
The second video "The time you have left" really got me thinking. Especially when they said "How much time do you spend worrying when you could be out doing something". That video really made me think about how I spend my time.

Unknown said...

I liked the second video more because it really put into perspective how long we truely get to live and have fun in our lives, and they did that with something as simple as a jelly bean.
I had an "AHA" moment while I was watching the second video when they showed how much time the adverage person has to actually live life and do what they really really value and see as fun. This was my "AHA" moment because it made me realize how much having a good job would benifit me considering ill end up spending most of my time there and the video made me realize I need to sleep less and get out and do exciting things and really just live life to the fullest.

i liked the "Awe" video the best. The reasoning behind this is that i think its very inspiring and has so much meaning behind it. i think that everyone is in a routine and once in awhile its good to break that routine, branch out and do something that you're not use to doing, The responsibility to Awe is stopping to smell the flowers, not letting life go by so fast without doing something you love and doing it again and again.
An AHA moment i had while watching the "Time you have left" video was realizing that he was right. We spend so much time worrying about all the necessities, that we forget what to do with the rest of the time we have left. The time to do something you love or anything you want. I think the idea of that video was to show how much time we actually spend on ourselves. It definitely was an eye opener !

I didn't particularly like either of them, but if I had to choose, the first one would win. This is because my "aha" moment was that I hate those kind of videos that make me feel bad about the time I've spent sleeping, or eating, or going to the bathroom! I need all of those things, and no one can do something amazing everyday, so to be perfectly honest, they don't inspire me at all, they just make me feel like I will never be good enough, and there is no way I will ever meet their standards of doing something awesome everyday, because I won't. We all have bad days! On those days, I mostly want to curl up with some junk food. I don't feel like I'm wasting my life, and I'm not saying I'm never going to do anything with my life, because I am.They just do not inspire me or make me feel good about myself, at all. I'm not trying to pessimistic, but I've seen so many of these videos and none of them really affect me, just make me feel bad.
As for the quote, it is a good quote. I do believe that we do get into a routine and it can be hard to appreciate the little things, which is something I try to do a lot more lately. Having something like a water fountain- not a big deal to us, huge deal to third world countries. We do have a responsibility to awe, I guess, but that can be anything, such as telling someone you love them, surprising someone for their birthday, being happy that you heard your alarm go off in the morning. I think everyone can take that responsibility in a different way.

I think the jelly bean video wins. It wins because I think it made me think about it a lot more than the other one. It made me wonder how much time I will have to spend for myself and they way it used the beans as days was a pretty cool idea.

An "AHA" moment I had was in the jelly bean was when the narrator was talking about the amount of days we spend doing very menial tasks like watching tv, and driving makes me wonder how much more time we will waste on those types of things instead of doing something more meaningful or fun.

I felt like the Jelly Bean video won because it demonstrated life in an unique way. The other video showed many examples and it felt like they were putting a title on what we have to do in life that's inspiring or different. In the jelly bean video i got more of the feel where i can imagine whatever i want, and it not be labelled. It also kept me interested to see what they were going to make next and even the simplest things like that to me can keep me interested.
The "aha" moment i had was realizing that you don't have that much time left and can't keep wasting everything on the little things or worrying to much. You really have to just live in the moment.

I really like the video "The Time You Have Left" because I know as a society, we spend too much time worrying opposed to doing the things we truly love. I liked how they incorporated the visual aspect of jelly beans to show how every single thing we spend time doing, or worrying about adds up, we could be doing something we love or that makes us happy.

An "aha" moment I had while watching this video was that I don't give myself enough time just for me. I find I have a hard time letting myself enjoy things because I always feel like I need to be doing something else for other people. I waste too much time stressing on things, especially school and I need to begin enjoying my time more because all these little things add up.

Unknown said...

I believe the video The Time You Have Left is the winner in round 3 of vids that make you go hmm.. because it made more sense to me. It really did make me think about how you spend your time because even though it may seem as though you have a lot of time, you really dont. Or your time could be cut short. So keeping that in mind what would you want to spent your time doing?
It made me realize that everyday should be lived to its fullest because most of your time is already taken up by everyday manadatory things such as eating, sleeping, working, commuting, etc. So why not spend the rest of your "free" time doing something you love, or spending it with people you love? Life is short.

Unknown said...

I enjoyed "the time you have left" video more. In my opinion I thought this video was easier to follow and made more sense to me. The first video gave so much information and was hard to put everything together. The second video got me thinking I was able to think twice about what he was saying about life. I had an "AHA" moment for pretty much the whole time during the second video. It's hard to believe that we only have a limited amount of time to enjoy the things we love and enjoy life to the fullest. I honestly don't like thinking about life, but I did really like watching this video and thinking about all the things in life we have to look forward to.

Bailey said...

I think the winner out of the two videos is the jelly bean video. I personally think it was the winner because I like how it made you stop and think by showing how you use your time throughout your life in a unique way by using the jelly beans. The jelly beans help make you think alittle more thoroughly. The video made me realize that you don’t have a lot of time on the planet and that you shouldn’t waste it.

Unknown said...

I like the video "the time you have left" because it's a really deep video and it shows that yeah you think you may have all the time in the world to do things that you want and that you shouldn't wait to do something. You think you may have all the time to do something. But if you think there's not a lot of time to do everything.
I liked this video because it really showed me how there many not be many days left to do things that's you really love. So if you wanna do something don't wait just get out and do it..

Unknown said...

The one that opened my eyes the most was the time we have left but in a way it was a bad eye opening because it talks about time that we "waste" in some way or another. Ofcourse everytime I see a video like that I feel like I'm not using my life efficiently like im just going through the motions but I'm only 17!
My AWE moment was realising we can't waste time sitting around watching tv or trying to take the perfect selfie for Instagram and that our days get cut back a lot faster than we think and we need to use our time for the better of the world and our selves.

selena said...

I liked "Awe" better, because it's something I work towards in my life. It was interesting to see what we spend our time on in the jelly bean video, but ultimately, the "Awe" video was more inspiring. I think it's important to look at the world differently every day and seek out experiences that will rearrange our brains so that we don't get trapped in the mundane. I think it's not even particularly difficult to find these things; it's just important to pay attention so we don't miss them. Awe can be found in the little things just as easily as the big things.

I really liked the "Time You Have Left" video because it showed in a different way how we spend our lives and day! It showed how much time we spend doing things out of habit or things we have to do and how much free time we have available! It really makes me think how much I need to take advantage of that free time and use it doing something I enjoy with people that I love! Or days doing something to clear my mind from all the clutter of all the busy days and just sit and watch a movie! Just take these spare days and use them to make my day and make the best out I them as long as it makes me happy!

which video wins, why
which did i learn

Deciding which video won is based on preference, what spoke to you or made dig deep into yourself and caused you to soul-search for the answer. I really enjoyed Awe, it was inspiring, with big ideas and an interesting topic, but, I also liked the video "the time you have left" it was deep, revealing and made you think.

In my opinion "the time you have left" won, with soul searching brilliance it made me think, soul search for that ever elusive question "what will you do today" and question whether what I'm doing now is really worth doing in the end.

I learned that while things worth doing is good, helpful, and fulfilling not ALL things are worth doing.

Unknown said...

I think that the jelly bean video was the best video because I learned the most out of it and it was the most inspirational. From this video I learned that we spend a lot of our time sleeping and working so the rest of our time is very valuable. I learned that the average days of our life is only about 28,000 days and most of it is things we need to do to survive. I learned that we spend our valuable time on things we shouldn't like worrying etc. I learned that just one day is really valuable and that we should make it count.

Unknown said...

I liked the jelly bean video better. It was the kind of thing that makes you rethink your life a little bit. We, as teens, feel like our lives have yet to begin, that they'll start only when we've completed high school or something. We're wrong. The video kinda makes you realize that you should be out helping others and showing love to everyone. Instead of arguing online about who has the correct opinion and worrying about how our hair looks. Guys, what if you only have one more jelly bean? That's the 'aha' moment that I had while watching this.

Unknown said...

I like the awe video the best. I think that it tells us that we need to break out of our bubble and go and experience life in different ways. There are so many things you can do to get out of your comfort zone. I think that getting out of your comfort zone helps you to enhance your life.

Taryn Wichenko said...

I liked the "awe" video more than the jellybean one. In fact the jellybean one made me feel nervous and guilty that I'm not doing as many "significant" things in the time that I have left. The "awe" one I definitely liked better however I'm not going to lie was a little hard to follow. They used a lot of big words and quick moving shots that made it kind of confusing…
The "aha" moment I experienced was during the awe video when they were talking about how your brain can get into a routine and you lose stimulation from this. I feel this is very accurate in my life as I pride myself on being very organized however, a result of this is that I have many routines. I liked that they said to break out of your comfort zone every once and a while so you can experience things differently. This was a good reminder for me and gave me that "aha" sensation.

Unknown said...

I like "The Time You Have Left" video more because it gave you an actual visual using jelly beans so it was easier to picture what they're saying. It opened my eyes to how we don't have as much time as we thought and that we shouldn't waste every day doing the same old thing. That once in a while we should get out of our comfort zone and experience new things that we wouldn't normally. And just to always make sure we're doing things that make us happy.
It was interesting to see that we spend more time than what I thought doing little daily things like making food, or doing bathroom things.

Unknown said...

I liked The Time You Have Left video best because I understand that how much we spend our time and I learned that we should spend our time wisely and do something great in that specific time and I learned to take opportunities while we can before it ends.

Unknown said...

out of both of the videos above my favorite was "the time you have left" because it really made me think of my life and how much time has already been wasted and the regrets that will come with that in the future .
ive learned that you have to live life to the fullest and there is no time to waste time :)

The jellybean one made me feel more worried when the whole time they were trying to tell you not to worry. It was a cool concept and a different way to really show your life span but i think it kind of contradicted itself. They were telling you to not worry and to do the things you love while presenting it in a manner that it was a waste and to make sure not to waste your time sort of thing. The second video made a lot of good points but the usage of large words made it hard to follow what he was actually trying to say. Both were very eye opening and make good points to not follow some scheduled routine in life and to make sure to make time for things you love which are both awesome points.

Sammy Cooper said...

I really enjoyed both the videos, though I would have to say The Time You Have Left made me think more. It's a concept that I think about often; living life to the fullest, filling that time with experiences that are valuable and meaningful and more than just passing time. This video is kind of a wake up-call, as we really don't have as much time as e think, so we should use it wisely. I felt that the video Awe is a brilliant way of following up The Time You Have left, and they work well together even though they are from different sources and not intended to be viewed together. We have this little time left, so how should we fill it? Awe.

i really liked the time you have left video better because i ffeel it showed not to waste precious time because life is short and if once its wasted you can never get it back. makes me.worry about how short life really is but it is a pretty inspirational video considering how much it made me think about stuff. super enjoyable i think it was a great way to explain how short life could be and how easily time is wasted
