Reading and Writing Reflection #1

Welcome back!

I hope everyone had a great long weekend.  To be honest it was a little depressing to get out of bed this morning and face the snowy and slippery roads.  Sometimes I just think it would be easier to stay in bed with a cup of tea and a good book, but alas here we are!  So today's focus is going to be the next best thing to staying in bed and reading a book . . . going to school and blogging about books!

In today's class you will be creating blog postings that focus on your progress as a reader and a writer in the last two weeks of classes.

First up your Reading Reflection:
Use your post it notes to help you create a posting where you discuss your reading progress.

- Your reflection should be in full sentences/paragraphs, and  focus on your questions, comments, predictions and text connections.
- Please pay special attention to your proofreading.  I would suggest you type your reflection in a Word document, use it to edit, and then cut and copy it into your blog posting.
 - Length? 250 words.

Next? Writing Reflection:
Discuss your writing progress so far.

- What has been your reaction to blog writing, doodling, Listography, adding personal additions, maintaining your WRN.
- What have you done well? What successes have you had?
- What needs work/attention?
- What would you like to do next as a writing project?
- Please pay special attention to your proofreading. I would suggest you type your reflection in a Word document, use it to edit, and then cut and copy it into your blog posting.
- Length? 100 words.

You have today's class to finish these two postings.  If you run out of time it becomes homework.  Don't forget to bring a camera for tomorrow's class.
